You will need connection
cable to use your demo SHTFD as a TFD machines, the cable
is a simple
RS232 cable 9pin to 25 pin or 25pin to 25
pin,
The secret is
that just use pin 2,3,4,5,6, and 20 for data
and
handshaking and pin 7 is for gnd or return. And you must
connect pin #8
to pin # 6 in shima machine side of the
cable.
The pin configuration for 25 pin to 25 pin cable
is as follows:

As you may notice the only
difference is that pin #6 and pin #8 is connected
together
in machine side .
Also if you want
to use a ready made cable, you have to cut the wire to
pin
#8 and connect it to pin #6 in machine side of the
cable.

and 25pin connector is as follows I mean that you can
replace the 9 pin by 25 pin D type connection according to
your available serial ports on your computer. This is
extension for 25 pin to 9pin D type
connectors.
